New series : Vikings

Post  Harkon on Sat Mar 09, 2013 4:51 pm

So yeah guys, last week this new series came out called "Vikings". Episode 1 and 2 are already out, and let me tell you I fell in love with it because of how Ragnar's band has a philosophy so alike to the one of the Erlingar (you'll notice how if you pay attention), and you'll also be awesomely reminded of Vikingr in the second episode... It was really amazing! :D

So, go watch it, now! Download or whatever. bounce

Just watched both ep 1/2 and I like it. :) Indeed their trip remind me of our lore + if you see the monks, they so much look like as one of the clans in vikingr. :D:D

Hahah.. When they started talking Old English.. And yes, I see what you mean about the brotherhood philosophy. That said, as you might have seen on Taleworlds I did find some flaws pig

Yeah it's certainly not perfect but then again, what actually entertaining "historic setting" series IS perfect.

True that, 'cuase even with all it's flaws, Dark age/ Viking age on TV is to rare to pass.

Same can be said about the movie The Vikings (1958). It has it flaws and is based on the life of Ragnar Lothbrok and his son Ivar but hardly a documentary. But still you have to enjoy the scenery, the viking village, falconry, ship building etc etc. Only thing that really stung me were the axes haha.

These are the axes I'm talking about. They have the same kind of gold coating you see on modern day cheap household axes tongue

Any of you notice how many Ragnar Lothbrok appeared on the server since the 1st Vikings ? I counted 4 :D
But series is really great, and i think before was nothing better.Had great hopes for Knut, looked to me like a good axeman or berserker, how much I was disappointed: D

I haven't seen more than 2 (3?) episodes - is it worth watching further?
